This is the second year in a row that I have done this series. I had quite a lot of fun doing last year’s series that I thought I’d continue it and provide you with all the new information I have learnt about preparing for the new school year.

Something I may not have mentioned at the beginning of this series last year is Continue reading “Back To School Series 2018!”

3 Year Blogaversary!

Hello Bookaholics!

I am so excited to be writing this post right now, because if you couldn’t tell, today is the day that this blog Jasper + Spice was born!

It is amazing to actually think that I have been running this blog for three whole years. I did another post like this for my One Year Blogaversary which was a very important milestone for me as I knew that I was able to stay committed to something as big as this for a year.

I haven’t deviated from the kinds of posts what I started out with on my blog, I’ve just changed the topic a little….. Continue reading “3 Year Blogaversary!”

Gregory & The Grimbockle By Melanie Schubert | Review

I received the book direct from the Author in return for an honest review. This post is not sponsored, all opinions are my own, and passages from the book referenced will be quoted. Massive thanks to the Author Melanie Schubert for this opportunity.

Heyo Bookaholics!

It seems like it’s been forever since my last book review with all the wrap-up, haul, TBR and New Years posts that have been consuming my blog; although I really loved to share all of that with you guys, I’m glad to be reviewing again!

Gregory and The Grimbockle Book Cover.jpg

Goodreads Summary:

Ten-year-old Gregory is about to find out that the enormous mole stuck straight beneath his nose is not just a mole, but is actually a humpy crumpy portal of skin that hides a creature called the Grimbockle.

What’s more? The Grimbockle is just one of the many strange little creatures called Bockles tending to the mysterious threads that connect all humans from one to the other. It is a very important job and one that has long been carried out with incredible secrecy…

…that is, before tonight.

Managing Blogging and Uni in 2018

Heyo Bookaholics!

Anyone who reads these posts, or follows my blog will know that I am horrible at either posting on time, or completing posts before they are scheduled to be posted, which sadly means I am caught out with posts going up on my blog empty of content.

This annoys me more than anything and I have decided to do something about it and stick to it!

Yearly Wrap-Up + Goal Setting

Hey Ho Bookaholics And Humans Alike!

You see, I was originally planning to do a Christmas book haul for my Wednesday post this week, but there has been so much going on I decided to skip it and add my December haul into this yearly wrap-up post.

I expect this post to be long, so without further babble, let’s jump into it!

Flight Vol. 1 Edited by Kazu Kibuishi | Review

Hey Ho Bookaholics and Humans Alike,

I have returned with another book review. This time I have read a comic book titled Flight. I got this book for a bargain $6 at The Book Grocer, and looking online last night to purchase the second volume, I noticed that these comics retail for almost $35 Australian Dollars! It’s ridiculous no wonder not many people read comics now days.

Flight Volume 1.jpg

Goodreads Summary:

Flight Volume One features stories by professionals and non-professionals alike, all playing on the theme of flight in its many incarnations. From the maiden voyage of a home-built plane to the adventures of a young courier and his flying whale to a handful of stories about coming of age and letting things go, this first volume of Flight is full of memorable tales that will both amaze and inspire.

Read, Rewrite, Burn Book Tag

Hey Ho Bookaholics and Humans Alike,

I’ve seen this Read, Rewrite, Burn Book Tag on a fair few bookish YouTube accounts, in which they do a longer video with many many books. I thought I’d do a modified version where I take three books I was sent for review and am yet to read, and chose, based off the blurb and first chapters alone, which book I will Read, Rewrite, and Put Down (because burning seems to harsh for a book that I have yet to read).

The books I have chosen are all from a very similar genre and have all been sent to me by Allen & Unwin (this post is not sponsored).
