Read, Rewrite, Burn Book Tag

Hey Ho Bookaholics and Humans Alike,

I’ve seen this Read, Rewrite, Burn Book Tag on a fair few bookish YouTube accounts, in which they do a longer video with many many books. I thought I’d do a modified version where I take three books I was sent for review and am yet to read, and chose, based off the blurb and first chapters alone, which book I will Read, Rewrite, and Put Down (because burning seems to harsh for a book that I have yet to read).

The books I have chosen are all from a very similar genre and have all been sent to me by Allen & Unwin (this post is not sponsored).

My Life In Book Titles (Book Tag)

Hey Ho Bookaholics!

Today I am bringing you a pretty long book tag. I’m not 100% sure where I found this tag but I remember seeing it somewhere, thinking it was the coolest thing ever, wrote down the prompts then forgot about it for a year.

Due to the draft of this post being three pages in my A5 notebook, I won’t ramble for too long. So without further ado, lets begin the tag!

Festive Christmas Book Tag!

Hey Ho Bookaholics!

Yes it is that time of the week again where we pull another tag from the internet and plop it on the blog!

Aside though, I’m lying in bed and I sang out an intro song to this post, and it makes me really think how much YouTube I’ve been watching lately and how maybe unhealthy it is for my blogging…

Anyways back to the tag!

Today I will be doing the Festive Christmas Book Tag! Because it is never too early for some Christmas cheer! Also it’s December 2nd. This tag was created by GirlReading on YouTube.

I AM WRITING A BOOK!

Hey Ho Bookaholics!

What is this!? Two posts in one week??? I think I’m finally starting to get my sh*t together, and the sad thing is I have so many brilliant ideas for posts on this blog written in a cute pen in a cute pink notebook, that I stupidly keep procrastinating.

But enough of that! Now I have a cool new phone, big enough to type up blog posts and make posts on the go I wont have to make excuses about not having my computer on me to post.

♡ ♡ ♡

Now that that little rant is over with, I want to tell you all about how my NaNoWriMo writing month went.

It went….. okay.

So I went into this with an already started story that I was origionally writing and I felt like I needed a reason for myself to put more effort into it.

The book started with around 1,500 words, and over the course of the first week, which consisted of studying for Uni exams, procrastinating said studying, and many mental breakdowns, I managed to raise my total word count to 3,257 words. I made my personal goal 15,000 words because there was no way I was going to reach 50,000 words like most people.

It all went downhill from there.

Stranger Things Is Back Baby! (+ book tag)

Hey Ho Bookaholics!

Today you’ll be hearing a story about how I got sucked in, braved my fears and started watching the gripping Netflix original: Stranger Things.

Stranger-Things-Season-2-Episode-Titles.jpg

Season 2 of Stranger Things aired last week in America on the 15th of October (because here in Australia we have to wait a whole year for a new season to be shown on our t.v.s), dead set in the middle of the year! If you haven’t started watching, please do, then we can all fangirl/boy together.

I use the streaming service 123movie.to (or Go Movies as it is now called) to stream all the Netflix originals, t.v. shows and movies. Continue reading “Stranger Things Is Back Baby! (+ book tag)”

Tome Topple Readathon

Hey Ho Bookaholics!

Long time no see my friends!

I’ve been waiting for that day that I’d have enough time and mental effort to come back here and share my reading life with you all; which up to this point has been pretty much non-existant. I’ve had to lower my Goodreads Reading Goal down from 50 to 23 books, as I have been stuck on Nevernight since New Years, and Uni has left me beaten and dying with only 14 books to my name.

But, Never Fear! I am back and reading and as determined as ever, taking part in the Tome Topple Readathon!

This Readathon was created by Sam from Thoughts On Tomes on YouTube, and it is in its 5th round! There are many hosts, including our very own Australian; Caz from The Little Book Owl. The hosts will be doing reading sprints on twitter @Tome_Topple, if you wish to follow.

The Readathon begins Continue reading “Tome Topple Readathon”

Ruler of Books Tag!

Hello Bookaholics!

It is Tag Time! In this post, you will get a little insight into how crazy I would be if I were The Ruler of Books.

I’ve seen this tag done by many of my favourite YouTubers, and I wanted to have a go. Luckily I happened to stumble across Caroline’s blog – Just Another Bookish Blog – and found the questions (and this cute graphic) to make this post possible. Continue reading “Ruler of Books Tag!”

So with the Tracy’s help, I managed to chose 7 books which I hope to, but  most likely will not finish within the seven days of the challenge.

Netflix Book Tag

Hey Ho Bookaholics!

I’ve been so good with my blog post schedule, it’s making me so happy and I come to you all with another post; this time a Book Tag!

Since the website I use to stream videos has stopped working for me I’ve been using Netflix for the first time, so it is only fitting that I have chosen to do the Netflix Book Tag. I found this tag on BookTube a while ago, then again on A Booklovers Playlist, where I found the questions. According to Keyleigh (A Booklovers Playlist), the origional video was made by A Darker Shade of Whitney and can be watched here.

1. Recently Watched
The last book you finished reading:

Lord Of Shadows by Cassandra Clare. I posted a non-spoiler review for this book on Monday which I am very proud of and I would love for you all to read it.
2. Top Picks
A book/books that have been recommended to you based on books you have previously read:

My friend Tracy – who was featured in my LOS review as ‘Paperback Rep’ – recommended I read Strange The Dreamer by Lani Taylor; partly because I was reading the Shadowhunter books, and partly because she was – and I quote – “so shattered by the book that [I] must read it”.
3. Recently Added
The last book you bought:

Damn lucky I went book shopping on Thursday before I enforced my strict spending budget (which will sadly not hold). I purchased two books that day, Release by Patrick Ness and Trials of Apollo Book 2 by Rick Riordan.
4. Popular on Netflix
Books that everyone knows about (series you’ve read and a series you have no interest in reading):

The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare (duh!), I’ve read this series 3 times over and loved it even more every single time!
Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Mass is a series I – not so much have no interest in reading – I just don’t want to pick up the series because of all the hype over it has just put me off reading the books even though I know how amazing they must be.
5. Comedies
A funny book:

All the books I read aren’t full comedy but have their sarcastic and funny moments. But I found myself full out giggling while reading Magnus Chase and The Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan. This book was equal parts comedy to action and it was a good balance.
6. Dramas
A character who is a drama queen/king:

Alec Lightwood is a drama queen! OMG I swear if anyone was a bigger drama queen than him when it came to thinking he was going to lose any chance at being with Jace, I would give the other persona gold medal. This is more the Alec we see in City of Bones, but he will always be a drama queen to me.
7. Animated
A book with cartoons on the cover:
Girl In Between by Anna Daniels is the only book I own with a cartoon style artwork on the cover. I haven’t read this one yet but I was sent it for review from Allen & Unwin.
8. Watch It Again
A book/book series that you want to re-read:

The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare for the third (or fourth) time. Nuff said.
9. Documentaries
A non-fiction book you’d recommend to everyone:

I don’t think I’ve actually read through a non-fiction book (that I remember), though I would recommend everyone at least have a flick through Ed Sheeran’s Autobiography. It’s a beautiful green book with amazing drawings and a wonderful story about his rise to stardom.
10. Action and Adventure
An action packed book:

Nevernight!!! Jay Kristoff just manages to keep you hooked with this book, and in the parts where the level of action decreases you as the reader begin to feel more on edge; the feeling that something is coming is always there with this book, and until that thing comes you are left hooked hanging on to every word.
11. New Releases
A book that just came out or will be coming out soon that you can’t wait to read:

Magnus Chase and The Ship of The Dead by Rick Riordan comes out in October and I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy as soon as it is released!!
12. Max: Tag some people!!
I tag everyone and anyone who has read been so kind as to have read this post. Enjoy.

.

Stay Happy, Healthy, and have a Lovely Week!!

.

Thank You so much for reading and I hope to see you all back here Monday for another book review 🙂
BREE XOXO

Mid-Year Book Freak Out 2017!

Hey Ho Bookaholics!

Today I present you with my Mid-Year Book Freak Out!! Especially since I’ve read just shy of 6 books in six months *inaudible gurgling noises* But in my defence I’ve been working on the dystopian book I am writing and I have been in some sort of reading slump. The kinda slump where I want to read and I can read but can’t read fast enough.

I found this tag on Hailey’s YouTube channel; HaileyInBookland. She changed a few of the questions to suit herself but I will keep the original questions, and maybe delete a few for convenience. I don’t know the true creator of this tag so if anyone does you can comment it below thank you.
